Con sư tử Do not select a DOA supplier on price per ton alone. Screen application fit, documentation, commercial feasibility and supply reliability before committing to qualification trials.
Dioctyl Adipate (DOA, CAS 103-23-1) is commonly evaluated when low-temperature flexibility or low-temperature brittleness resistance is a critical performance requirement. At Nguyên Dịch, we manufacture DOA together with DOS, DOTP, TOTM, DPHP and other plasticizers, so we recommend treating supplier selection as a technical qualification process rather than a simple price comparison.
Before requesting a quotation, define the finished PVC product and its minimum service temperature. Cold-resistant film, cable insulation, automotive interiors, and outdoor flexible products have different performance priorities.
Buyers should provide the PVC resin grade, current plasticizer system, plasticizer loading in phr, target hardness, stabilizer and filler system, processing conditions, and required minimum temperature. The test method, conditioning time, and acceptance limit should also be defined.
A raw-material specification cannot guarantee the minimum service temperature of the finished article. Resin type, filler loading, total plasticizer level, processing history, and product geometry can all affect cold performance.
The failure mode should be specific. Typical failure modes include hardness increase, loss of elongation, reduced flexural compliance, cracking under low-temperature bending or impact, and brittle fracture after controlled low-temperature conditioning.
Yuanyide positions DOA for cold-resistant PVC films, wire and cable insulation, automotive interiors, and outdoor water pipes. It is also used for low-temperature plasticizing of synthetic rubber, adhesives, and sealants.
However, CẦU NGUYỆN should not automatically be selected whenever PVC cracks in the cold. The formulation team should also check resin selection, filler level, stabilizer system, plasticizer dosage, and processing conditions.
A supplier audit should include the TDS, batch-specific COA, and SDS.
| Tài sản | Thông số kỹ thuật |
| Ester content, % | ≥99.5 |
| Color, Pt-Co | ≤20 |
| Acid value, mg KOH/g | ≤0.07 |
| Density at 20°C, g/cm³ | 0.924–0.929 |
| Water content, % | ≤0.10 |
| Flash point, open cup, °C | ≥190 |
For regulated applications, final suitability and compliance should be confirmed in the complete PVC formulation and finished article rather than assumed from the plasticizer alone.
Documentation is only the first screening step. The most relevant qualification step is to evaluate the candidate DOA in the actual PVC formulation under controlled laboratory conditions.
Use a controlled comparison. Keep the PVC resin, stabilizer, filler, lubricant, processing temperature, and other major conditions unchanged. Record plasticizer phr, total plasticizer loading, target hardness, cold-conditioning temperature and time, test method, and acceptance limit.
At Yuanyide, we generally provide 100 mL or 200 mL samples for quality evaluation. This allows manufacturers to complete laboratory or pilot trials before a commercial order.
Passing one cold-flexibility test may not be enough. Depending on the application, the formulation should also be evaluated for migration, volatility, heat aging, hardness change, and long-term flexibility retention.
| Performance criterion | Typical evaluation | Why it matters |
| Tính linh hoạt ở nhiệt độ thấp | Brittleness / flexural test | Confirms cold flexibility |
| Hardness retention | Shore A before/after aging | Tracks hardness change after aging; does not directly quantify plasticizer retention |
| Tensile/elongation retention | Tensile test | Evaluates mechanical-property retention |
| sự di chuyển của chất hóa dẻo | Migration/extraction test | Assesses plasticizer movement |
| Biến động | Mass-loss / heat-loss test | Measures mass loss; further analysis may be needed to attribute it to DOA |
| Heat aging | Accelerated aging | Assesses property retention under specified accelerated-aging conditions |
| Color stability | ΔE / visual evaluation | Important for films and visible products |
This distinguishes initial low-temperature flexibility from retention of mechanical performance after aging and environmental exposure.
DOA may be used as a primary plasticizer or as part of a mixed-plasticizer system, depending on the required balance of low-temperature flexibility, migration resistance, volatility, thermal stability, and cost. If low-temperature flexibility is the dominant requirement and the finished product passes the required tests, a DOA-based system may be sufficient.
Alternative grades or blends can be screened when DOA does not meet the full requirement. Compare DOS, DOTP, TOTM or DPHP against the approved formulation under the relevant volatility, migration, aging and application tests.
The final choice should come from comparative formulation testing rather than a universal ranking.
After the formulation passes technical testing, verify whether the supplier can reproduce the result in regular production.
Review batch-specific COAs, traceability, retention sample practices, change-control procedures, complaint handling, production capacity, lead time, packaging, and logistics. At Yuanyide, we operate six plasticizer production lines, two workshops, and two warehouses, with an annual comprehensive production capacity of 50,000 tons. We retain samples from each production batch for six to twelve months to support product traceability and retrospective quality analysis when needed. We also support third-party testing and after-sales quality tracking.
Before supplier approval, verify:
The lowest DOA price per ton does not necessarily create the lowest cost per qualified PVC product. Compare offers on the same approved specification, net quantity, packaging, payment terms and delivery scope. Add qualification and production costs only where you can estimate them reliably.
A better comparison includes material price, trial and reformulation cost, reject risk, batch consistency, logistics, technical support, and supply continuity.
At Yuanyide, we prefer to start with application requirements before discussing bulk supply. If you are evaluating DOA, send us your PVC application, resin grade, current plasticizer, phr, target hardness, minimum service temperature, existing problem, and test requirements. We can provide available technical documents and a sample for formulation evaluation.
A reliable DOA supplier should provide more than a competitive quotation. PVC manufacturers should define service conditions first, review technical documents, test DOA in the actual formulation, evaluate longer-term performance, and then audit batch consistency and supply capability. This reduces the risk of choosing a material that looks economical at purchase but becomes costly during production.
Looking for a reliable DOA plasticizer supplier for PVC? Share your application, PVC resin grade, plasticizer loading (phr), target hardness, required low-temperature performance, and current formulation challenges with our technical team.
Yuanyide can provide DOA technical documentation and product samples for formulation evaluation, helping you assess low-temperature flexibility, compatibility, and overall performance before moving to commercial supply.

A: No. Finished performance also depends on resin, plasticizer loading, stabilizers, fillers, processing conditions, product geometry, and test method. The material should be validated in the buyer’s actual PVC formulation.
A: Buyers should normally review the TDS, batch-specific COA, and SDS. Additional compliance documents should be requested according to the application and destination market.
A: It depends on the required performance balance. If migration, volatility, heat aging, or durability are also critical, compare blends or alternative plasticizers under the same formulation conditions.
